Chris Mickey

I grew up as a normal, carefree kid in Cheyenne, Wyoming. After high school, I eventually ended up in Laramie, WY where I earned a degree in political science. After graduating in 2009, I went where every political scientist aspires to go -- Washington DC. It was while working for a US Senator and my time spent in the nation's capital that I discovered my love for communications, public relations and photography. My brain soaked up lessons from every experience I had in DC. Eventually, the cutthroat, highly divisive environment got the best of me and I began to look westward.

 

I began working for Wyoming's tourism office in 2014. There was no better job than convincing people to visit one of the most beautiful places in the world. The work took me to places where the unique landscapes and wide open spaces allowed me to have seemingly unlimited photography opportunities. This is also when I discovered how rewarding and experiential travel could be. Now, even as I work in marketing, I spend every free moment and dollar available to travel the world and experience the culture, food, and most importantly, the people that shape it. My goal is to visit all 50 states, as many countries as possible, all seven continents and every US National Park. My hope is that I am able to bring my family and friends along with me on these incredible journeys through my photos, videos and writing. I can't wait for you all to join me!
